Rebecca Bailey chosen in top beauties
at Hinds Community College. Rebecca is
the daughter of Randy and Teresa (Killebrew '79) Bailey of Pearl. She was selected in the top 6 beauties at Hinds
on Thursday, November 13th.
Olivia and Ashley place in top 5 beauties at EMCC
Olivia Williamson, daughter of Phil ('85) and Lisa (Ledbetter
'86) Williamson and Ashley Meeks, daughter of Tim ('81) and Debbie (Gilbert '80) Meeks, competed in
the Beauty Pageant at East Mississippi Community College on Tuesday, November 11th. Both Olivia and Ashley placed in
the top 5 beauties. Both Olivia and Ashley are 2007 graduates of CHCS. Congratulations girls!!!!
Congratulations! Romy Abboud (left), CHCS 2007 Graduate, was selected as Student Body Maid at Holmes Community
College. Also, Noha (right) Abboud, CHCS 2008 Graduate, was selected as Freshman Maid. HCC will celebrate its
homecoming ceremony on Saturday, 10/11.

all band at Copiah Marching Contest and 4th over all band at Pearl Invitational Marching Competition.... And they are headed
to the State Marching Competition at Clinton on Oct 25th. If you are in the Vicksburg Area on Saturday Oct 11 please be sure

City student at Ridgeland school is National
Merit SemifinalistPublished: Wednesday, September 24, 2008 12:05 PM CDT A Vicksburg teen who attends school in the Jackson area has been named a semifinalist in the 2009 National Merit
Scholarship Program. Carolyn Wynne Campbell, a senior at St. Andrews Episcopal in Ridgeland, is the daughter of
Virginia and Charles G. (Glen, CHA class of 1981) Campbell. She hopes to attend Wake Forest
or Furman University and major in public policy and philosophy with the goal of continuing to law school. At St. Andrews,
Campell is a member of the National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Spanish Club and the swim, student admissions,
mock trial, speech and debate teams. About 16,000 National Merit Semifinalists were chosen from more than 1.5 million
applicants. Semifinalists make up less than 1 percent of the national high school population and are chosen based on scores
from the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test; 144 of the semifinalist are from Mississippi. National
Merit Finalists will be announced in February. About 15,000 students are expected to advance to the Finalist level and those
students will then compete for some $35 million in scholarships. In the 2008 National Merit program, one student from Vicksburg
was named a finalist. The National Merit Scholarship Program, established in 1955, is a nonprofit organization.

Brylee Noel Davis
Brylee Noel was born on
Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at 10:57 in Athens Texas. She weighed 7lbs. 14oz and measured 20 inches long; Brylee is happy
at home in Oxford with her parents, Shannon and Dee Dee (Killebrew) Davis.
Dee Dee was a member of the Class of 2001.
