♦ 6th Grade Class Invades Washington,
D. C. Our 6th grade class members and many chapherones left the Jackson airport Sunday
morning at 10:00 and they arrived safely to their destination at 12:00 where they traveled by bus to Washington, D. C.
They made it to the National Archive Museum on Sunday, and they have many points of interest to see each day.

♦ "Christmas Comes to Lone Star Gulch" On Monday, December 7th, the Elementary
Music Classes presented the Christmas musical entitled, "Christmas Comes to Lone Star Gulch." This program
studednts in K3 - 5th grade. All those that attended report that it was an excellent program. Good job students,
and a special thanks to Jo Vaughn for all her hard work.
♦ Mickey and Bullet visit K5 Deputy Mickey Chisolm and his dog, Bullet, recently paid a visit to our K5
classroom. He showed the children how the dog follows commands and how he can search for something. Mickey also
gave the children safety tips about strangers. The K5 students are studying about community helpers.
♦ K5 gets their blood pressure
checked! Dawn Purvis from Lexington Primary Care visited the K5 class on Wed., Sept.
9. She talked to the children about being a nurse. The K5 students are studying about community helpers. Dawn
took everyone's blood pressure and each student was given a first-aid kit. .
♦ Pee Wee Trojans win CHCS Jamboree Our PeeWee football team coached by Doyle Gilmore and David Lloyd won the CHCS
Pee Wee Football Jamboree on Saturday, August 15th. Three teams participated in the jamboree. We defeated Winona
by a score of 24-6 and then went on to win by a score of 20-0 over Clinton Christian. Congratulations Trojans.
