Horses
for Handicapped CHCS Student
Council volunteered on Monday, April 19th for the Horses for Handicapped program in Jackson. Let me just say that our
students were the ones helping so that children with needs could receive a blessing, but that plan backfired, because our
students were the ones that received the blessing.

Each STAR Student is asked to designate a STAR Teacher, the classroom teacher who has made the greatest contribution to the
student's scholastic achievement. Daniel C. Blaylock was designated STAR Teacher. Daniel and
his wife, Shay (also a teacher at CHCS), reside in Kosciusko with their two sons, Shawn and Wesley. He serves as pastor

Stephanie Nicole
Gilmore
We are all saddened as a school
and a community by the loss of one of one of our family members. Stephanie Gilmore, daughter of William Gilmore, granddaughter
of LeeBeth Gilmore and the late Billy Jo Gilmore, was tragically killed in an automobile crash on Sunday, August 21st.
Stephanie was traveling to church on Sunday morning with her younger brother, Terry, when the wreck occured in Yazoo
County. Stephanie attended school at CHCS during the 2008 school year and until Christmas of the 2009-2010 school
year. We extend our prayers and sympathy to the Gilmore family. To understand the type of young lady Stephanie was, you should visit her facebook page.
You will see that she was devoted to her family, her church and God. Here is her bio from that facebook page: "My name is Stephanie Gilmore and I love the color green. I enjoy cooking with my mom, or with anyone for
that matter. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends. I love vampires and any subject about the afterlife. I love
going to church and I love God. I attend Holly Buff Baptist Church and Beulah Baptist Church when I visit my Grandma.
I have a fascination with the Spanish language and culture. and I absolutely love music.. anything else you want to know?
just ask."
